    Unhappy IF statements?

    Hi

    I have a spreadsheet with these columns
    Item
    Staff
    Group
    Value
    Status

    I need something that can do this:
    1. Staff priority - Zak, Mo, Di, Sam
    2. The spreadsheet contains items that are the responsibility of each Staff. Each item belong to one or more groups of products with a commercial value.
    3. Staff leave and items re-assigned randomly resulting in more than a Staff per item. I am now cleaning the spreadsheet and assigning an item per Staff .
    4. The formula should help as follows:
    If an item has Zak:
    add Yes in the status column
    and Sam, add Yes in the Zak row and No in the Sam row;
    and Mo, add Yes in the Zak row and No in the Mo row;
    and Di, add Yes in the Zak row and No in the Di row;

    If an item has no Zak and:
    Mo and Sam, add Yes in the Mo row and No in the Sam row;
    Mo and Di, add Yes in the Mo row and No in the Doreen row;
    Di and Sam, add Yes in the Di row and No in the Sam row;
    only Sam, add Yes in the Sam row;
    only Mo, add Yes in the Mo row;
    only Di, add Yes in the Di row;

    Thanks
    Raury

    Hi Raury,

    You might want to attach a sample of your spreadsheet so we can understand better? a test sample of what you want to achieve would be sufficient

    Hi Pete,

    I attach a sample spreadheet - Note that the groups is immaterial in this exercise. Only the Item and Staff columns apply.

    Re: IF statements?

    Raury, are you sure you attached the correct sample spreadsheet? I can see no reference to Zac, Sam, Di or Mo in there and so I cannot formulate the result you want!

    Perhaps do it again and SHOW THE RESULTS YOU WANT in the places you want?

    Re: IF statements?

    Hi Pete,

    Here it is again - I am sure it is the correct one this time.

    There are 3 other files in the attachment area. They should be deleted.
