    Combining values from multiple lists

    Hello,
So I have about 6 two-column lists: policy number and a monetary value. I need to combine all of the values of the same policy number to see if they add up to 0 or not. The issue is that there are certain policy numbers that aren't in one list but are in another, and that there are duplicates within each list.

Here are small sample of a couple lists
    List 1:
    1387 215.54
    1392 -28
    1392 76
    1465 -0.36
    1465 0.36
    1703 -95.04
    1703 95.04
    1822 -10
    1822 116
    2906 80.61
    2940 87.78
    3183 54.48
    3227 0
    3440 76.97

    List 2:
    1193 -123.2
    1202 -127.1
    1387 -99.14
    1387 -116.4
    1392 -48
    1822 -106
    2906 -80.61
    2940 -87.78
    3183 -54.48
    3440 -76.97
    3907 -110.31
    3942 -132.98

    Thanks for any ideas/help

Hi sepandr and welcome to the forum,

Maybe just copy and paste one column underneath the other and then use Excel feature Remove Duplicates located under Data tab.

Re: Combining values from multiple lists

    AlKey,
As soon as I posted this I found out about the data consolidation, and then I went on to use VLOOKUP to add the two columns together after I got rid of the duplicates. Your solution is so much easier hahaha.
    Thanks
