    Auto-complete formula function doesn't work properly

    Hi

    Apologies if this was already mentioned, but I have a really weird problem with this feature.
    I start typing the beginning letters to trigger the "Formula AutoComplete", I select the desired formula, and then, supposedly another little tip-box with indications should appear to help me introducing the data. This box was appearing normally, but it isn't now. I haven't changed anything in options or preferences.....

    I want to highlight there is no problem with the first scrollable list, the problem is with the second box...

    Is there anyone that could help me out restoring the function as it was before?

    Start typing any formula and and while still in the formula do Alt Down Arrow
    Excel Guru in the making

    hi

    this actually turns on/off the auto-complete formula function. For this I don't have any problem.

    The problem comes up when selecting the appropriate formula, I need to enter the values in brackets. There should be a tip box like the below one:

    I insist this was working fine a week ago...

    File - Options - Advanced - Display
    Check "Show function ScrennTips"

    I loathe formula AutoComplete.

    The very 1st thing I do when I'm using a new version (or someone else's version) of Excel is to disable formula AutoComplete!

    I was quite happy with Excel 2003's formula input now I've just got so use to using the autocomplete
