Creating weighted Composite score & applying cut score

I have data set with two sets of scores which needs to be combined and create a weighted composite score of two variables with one weighted 60% and the other weighted 40%. Can I get assistance on a step by step guide to doing this. Thank you

Also, is weighted composite the same as using the =percentrank formula?

    Thanks forum!

A sample of what you mean, in an Excel sheet, would be a great help!! Please post a sheet...

It would help if you gave a sample of what you expect, but try this in F2, copied down...
    =IF(A2=A1,"",(D3*0.6)+(E2*0.4))
