Conditional Formatting comparing two ranges of data

    Hi Everyone

I Have a sheet with two ranges of data from two different suppliers that supply the same products.

    Supplier 1
    B7:H11

    Supplier 2
    K7:Q11

What I want it for the lowest price from each range of data to be highlighted in a colour to make it easier for my employees to visually see which is the cheapest between the two suppliers.

    Hopefully someone can help me.
I have googled the issue and have tried many things but cannot get it to work correctly...

    I thankyou in advance.

It's hard to be specific without a sample file to work with, but maybe something like
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Thanks for your response, I was led to believe that I can enter a formula within the conditional formatting function that would highlight the lowest value in a cell colour.

That formula is to go into the conditional formatting. As I said, a sample file would mean I could be more specific, even show you an example. To upload a file click on Go Advanced (bottom right) then on the paperclip.

Thanks. If your actual data is the same as the sample data and identical to each other like that it makes it much easier.

Select B7:H11, then go to Conditional Formatting, New Rule, Use a formula to determine which cells to format. In the box below where it says Format values where this formula is true type
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Then click on the Format button and choose the format you want to highlight the cells. Click OK.

Select K7:Q11 and repeat the process with this formula:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Re: Conditional Formatting comparing two ranges of data

Thanks I built the data in such a way that it was laid out in the same format from one supplier to the other.

Thanks a million for your help I will test this now.
If it works fine you can call in for a beer when you pass the UK next lol
