The sheet attached is a daily production monitor for 10 machines over 3 shifts this would be Monday to Friday in the tabs = 5 sheets
I have created a drop down list which contains part numbers (example in cell D2)and a drop down list which contains operator names ( example in cell D7 ).
Once you select the part number from the drop down list the cell immediately below will change to show the correct shift target for that part number. the Production figure is then input manually at the end of the shift to give % target achieved.
what i am now trying to do BUT CANT, is to somehow collect all the production figures and link them to the part numbers in a separate workbook so that at a glance we can see how many of each part has actually been produced over the week and perhaps even link this to operators to show how each is performing.
Each week would be in its own folder numbered 1 to 52 and all these would have to link to the separate workbook. If anyone can sort this mess out i would be eternally grateful as i am a complete novice on excel and its taken me ages to get this far. Thanks in advance
