Hey all,
This is my first post on this forums so please bear with me.
I'm working on an extensive financial appraisal and have taken to conditional formatting with the aim of allowing price discrepancies to be easily identified (i.e. green = equal/sub price compared to competitors, red = higher than competitors).
My column headers are as follows: Our price, the price of competitor, cost difference (raw), percentage difference (%). I'm trying to make it so that a price discrepancy equal or greater than 3% is coloured green, 3-5% yellow (amber), and equal or greater than 5% is red.
Obviously, there are some situations when the percentage is represented negatively (denoting our price is lower) and I would like these to show as green also.
I would be very grateful if anyone could help me with a formula to input into conditional formatting.
Columns are as follows:
Competitors price - B18
Our price - C18
Cost difference -D18
Percentage diff. -E18
I'm relatively new to excel, and if anyone could help me with this I would be very grateful.
Many thanks!
