I thought I could share this. I needed to find the best fit plane coefficients for a cloud of 3d points. What i found is that Lines sort of does this. By that i mean lines will find the best fit with the equation Y=M1x1+M2x2 What I needed was the normal coefficients of Ax +By +Cz for the plane. To find this I simply rewrote the lines equation able to M1x1 +M2x2 - z. Here the c coefficient is -1(-1×z) and A is M1 and B is M2. I then normalized everything by dividing each coefficient by sqrt (sumsq (a, b, c) ) which gave me the normal vector of the best fit plane
