Need formulas for stock transaction data

    Hi

I’m hoping to be able to connect with a Financial Expert on this forum who understands the use of Excel to calculate the True Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWRR) using the Daily Valuation method.

I present a sample of my data in a Brokerage house in the attached Spreadsheet data. I’d like to be able to calculate the TWRR for each transaction period. The Spreadsheet represents a typical IRA or 401K account scenario; so your assistance will also assist others who have similar situation.

I found various scenarios on the web where the Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWRR) using the Daily Valuation method is used; but none that I have seen really fit my data and applying there calculations does not seem to work for me. Also, I find the TWRR formula most confusing and intimidating; especially when trying to define the period for the calculations.

Any help utilizing the attached spreadsheet to calculate the Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWRR) using the Daily Valuation method is appreciated. Please do not forget to attach the spreadsheet so I can review your formula and results.

Thanks a million for any help I can get.

Re: Need Help with Excel Formulas per attached Spreadsheet

Please revise your title to be a little more specific. Most of the posts here are asking for help with Excel formulas in an attached spreadsheet. Maybe something like "Need formulas for stock transaction data".

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)
