Hi.
-I am stuck on correct formula for Column U beginning with U9. The remaining shares would be U8 Plus (if any) E9 and less (if any) O9.
-I also tried to add colour to column W. Green if positive, Red if negative, Clear if value $0.
-Also colour for column U. Blue if positive value, clear if zero value.
Would appreciate the assistance.

Change your formula to either 1 of these...
=IF(E9="",0,U8+E9-O9)
=IF(E9="","",SUM(U8,E9,-O9))
You have tyour CF rules repeated a few times, delete the duplicate rules.
The rules you need are...
<0 format...fill red
>0...format fill GREEN
new rule/use formula =W9="" format fill white
You can use the same approach for column U

Thank you for your great assistance. I am in need of one more item. Column AA. Trying to establish net gain/loss on exchange rate differential of buy versus sell.
-Bought 10,000 shares (E8) at 3.84 per share(J8). Exchange rate 1.134 (K8). Cost per share after Exchange rate (M8) is $4.35 per share.
-Sold 10,000 shares (O9) at $4.52 per share (T9). Exchange rate 1.144 (X9). Cost per share after Exchange rate (Z9) is $5.17 per share.
I am thinking the answer is $1,400
