    Consecutive Wins vs team

    Hi all,
Looking for a formula to count most consecutive wins/losses vs a particular team. (Basically the longest winning or losing streak streak)

A2:A2000 contains "w" for win or "L" for loss B2:B2000 contains "team name" for example "Dragons"

I would like to output answer in c2.

I dont know if you need more information than that..if so please let me know.

    Re: Consecutive Wins vs team

Thanks for your response Karedog, but Im not so sure this is what I am looking for. If Team 1 (an assumed team which doesnt need to be listed) plays team 2 (any other team from the league - listed in column b - which we will just use the team name dragons for this purpose) 15 times and of those 15 times won had 2 winning streaks (wins "w" and losses "L" are listed in column a) one streak of 4 wins in a row another of 5 wins in a row - in column c I would need a formula to out put that "5" was the most consecutive wins vs the dragons.

If your above formulas will produce this please help me understand them a little better.

    Thanks for your help

    You are welcome hockeyguy
Oops, I did a mistake, I swapped column A with column B, but it will be easy to fix, if this is actually what you're looking for.
Please look at the attached file. If the data is different with your expectation, then could you upload your example file for me to look at ?
