    Vlookup for multiple sheets?

I need an excel formula (presumably VLookup) that will search across multiple sheets?

I have the name of several funds in column A in my first sheet, and I want to be able to see data from other sheets that correspond with this, in column G and H (where the formula should go). All my sheets are named different things - in the first sheet, are several of the fund names in column A and then information about them in column B and C. Likewise, there are other fund names in the next sheet and the next, with all the information about them in column B and C. I want column G and H of my first sheet to be able to display this information from the other sheets when I enter the fund name in column A.

Does this make sense? I have 23 sheets in total, not including the first one. Thanks in advance!

J2 is reference cell, it points where to read data sheet 1 or 2,
You can modify formula to work with as many sheets as You want

I can't seem to make this work? For security reasons, I can't upload the actual spreadsheet I'm using but I've created a kind of dummy version if that will help!

Experiment Bancs MP lookup - Copy.xlsx

I want to be able to enter the data into column A and then column G & H will populate as per the sheets.

    HTML Code:
This code seems to work but it's obviously too long, anyone know how to shorten it?

    Re: Vlookup for multiple sheets?

it will work but you have to enter the work sheet names in Sheet Names worksheet and extend the named range accordingly

    Re: Vlookup for multiple sheets?

Thank you for replying to me - how do I extend the 'named range?' (Sorry I'm a total excel noob, you're being extremely helpful!)

EDIT: I've just gotten this to work, thank you for being so patient with me! It's much appreciated
