    Beat me to it Glenn

Just use Countifs which allows you to define multiple criterias. In your case If it is greater than 0 (You had that, then if it is greater than or equal to Start Time and If less than or equal to End Time

wait... - you left out the IF > 0... though if these are just 1/0 in row 5... could make it a sumifs instead of counting

Re: Formula needed to depend formula's range on specified cells

    Hi Glenn,

    Thanks for your reply.

The formula now correctly represents the range.
Only it does not count the values in the row beneath (row5).

The correct answer should be "2" instead of "3".
As only values greater than one, in the by time interval (row4) specifiek cells have to be counted.

Vincent - you should have been able to correct that with what you had in there originally... Also please see my previous posts as I outline that fact and give other options based on what you are entering -

Don't forget to set thread to Solved in Thread tools if you feel it is -

    Thanks

    HI ELeGault,

    I overlooked your reaction.

The last formula you posted solves my problem and works fine.

Thanks both you guys for the help.

    Vincent
