Paste a function within a Named range?

    How can I paste a Function within a Named range? ( "B5:B56")
Trying to paste the following without success..

    =IF(ISBLANK(test),"","x")

    I keep getting this error:
"The data you're pasting isn't the same size as your selection.."

..If this can be converted to a macro, that would also be great!

    thanks for any help

So "test" is a named range = B5:B56

What are you copying (cell or range)? and where are you pasting it (cell or range)?

Re: Paste a function within a Named range?

    Thanks for the reply, ChemistB

I have a named range called "Test2" ( "B5:B56"), in which i will be copying the function into.

The named range "Test", ("D5:D56") is the range this function is looking at to see if there are any blank rows.

    copying from "Test"
    pasting it in "Test2"
