Countif with multiple variables on seperate page

I have attached shortened a call log. I want to be able to run functions on a seperate sheet that will total up the number of each call type made by each number and give me the total "cost" associated with each number and total time. Thank you in advance.

    Example is

    9367026
    Cell 5
    Local 1
    INHSE 0
    Cost .41
    Time 7:06
    Attached Files Attached Files

    Welcome.
Have you tried a pivot table? see above. I had to fix your time column up by dividing by 60

Thank you. After reverse engineering the pivot table I understand and this will be very useful. Thanks again.

Well I guess I do not know how to fix the sum of minutes. Where did you divide it up by 60? I keep getting 00:00 after changing it from count to sum and changing the format to MM:SS.

I divided the number by 60 then copied that result back over the top of your original values. When I get back to computer (on iPad at present) I'll send you the working file

Re: Countif with multiple variables on seperate page

    Here you go.
I guess you downloaded the data from another source. The 02:47 is read by excel as 2 hours 47 minutes. You want it to read 0 hours 2 minutes and 47 seconds so you need to divide by 60. The data is in text form though so you need to wrap it in value() so that it converts it to a number - in this instance it will appear as a decimal time. Once you've divided by 60 then it will still show in decimal time too BUT if you reformat it as hh:mm:ss you'll get the display you want.

I used the following formula in G2 =VALUE(F2)/60 then copied down, then I copied column G and pasted over column F as values (not formula). You could simply leave G in and do your pivot table on the new column G though. Here's your original file with the corrected data. I've left column G in for you to see. I haven't redone the pivot table though
