    Changing Multiple Sheetnames

I am curious if there is a macro that might change a series of sheet names contained in a file. In this case from Jan13, Feb13, ......, to Jan15, Feb15, ......

    See attached file.

I discovered a VBE routine that when used on a currently open sheet replaces the sheet name with name in Cell [A1]. That's neat.

Not sure if there is a way to do this for a series of sheets. If not, will just have to go in and manually change them. Thanks!

I see how that can post the sheet names into a list (even following the order along the sheet name bar). Very clever! But I am still trying to see if there is a way to speed change the names of existing sheets. Perhaps not. But I am always amazed how clever users have found ways to do things in Excel that in my limited knowledge were seemingly impossible. Keep up the good work, contributors! Thanks!

    Re: Changing Multiple Sheetnames

You've got a couple options. You can create a list and then rename the sheets in your workbook according to that list. Or you can enter the new names you want for each worksheet into a cell on each sheet and then automatically rename all the sheets to the contents of that cell. You might find the ASAP Utilities Add-in to be helpful.
