    How to protect the formatting of unlocked cells

    Looking for help to protect the formatting of editable cells of worksheet.
    Is there any trick to protect the formatting of editable cells even if some one copy paste the data from some other workbook.
    password to unprotect the sheet is 12

    When you protect the sheet, uncheck select locked cells. That should do the trick for you...

    Thanks for quick reply.
    i tried this but not working. e.g. copy cell h5 and paste using Ctrl+V in cell f6, this will also paste the format of cell h5. I have set the date format for the f column,
    it should be remain intact
