My opening balance doesn't show up in my checkbook register

I am having a problem with a basic checkbook register spread sheet. I am missing something in the formula and my opening balance does not register. I am enclosing a copy of my trial register. Would really appreciate any assistance you could render. I'm probably missing something so basic it is embarrassing, but I'm new to this and digitally challenged. I am using Office 2007 with Windows 8.1.

What is the source of your opening balance? You have no formula in the opening balance cell.

Thank you for responding. I'm completely new at this. Debugging code is way beyond me. I just recently stopped keeping a written register. This is all new to me. The opening balance was simply taken from my hard copy check register. I'm not sure what the formula for the opening balance cell should be. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you once again for responding.
