Calculating sales trend based on formula for a date

Hello all, I am trying to make a formula to display the percentage in which my sales reps are trending to their goal. The formula I am using is ((Total Activation/days past)*(total days))/goal. When I have these reference cells where I type the values in (for example 14 for days past and 31 for total days) then it gives me a correct trend.
However, I have created this document to be a daily reference so the days past value will change daily. I have used the formula =EOMONTH(TODAY(),0) to display how many days are in the month, and =EOMONTH(TODAY(),0)-TODAY() to display how many days are left in the month. I then just use the formula subtracting days left from total days to get days past.
Now, the part I'm having trouble with is when I use the first formula to calculate trend, I'm trying to reference the results from the formulas to calculate the days and it is giving the the wrong answer.. I formatted the cells calculating the days under custom, and then d to display it as a day value. I hope this isn't too confusing, but if anyone could assist me, I would appreciate it.

    Thank you
