I cannot seem to come up with the correct syntax or command combination. See attached sheet/file. In cell D40 I am trying to capture the number of times "Travis" occurs in range E6:E35 as long as the name falls between the manual date entries in A40 and B40. I have some sample efforts but something just isn't working. Thanks!
Make sure your ranges always match but you can go with a sumifS
You were just about there, when doing the Greater than or less than, note how they are contained in quotes and combined using an amperes symbol
