Needing some help with cumulative sums over different date blocks

Hi, so I will try explaining what I need simply if possible. I have four columns, Item, Category, Date and Rate. I need to create two column from this data, a Cumulative Days column and a cumulative rate column, these columns need to be per item, per code and per date, and only adding cumulative for consecutive dates. So if the item, changes the cumulative values would need to start over, if the code changes the cumulative values would need to start over, and if there is a break in the date/ not consecutive days, the cumulative values needs to start over. I have included a file with a sample of the data I have and the data I need to calculate hopefully to make this easier to understand.

Wow youre fast! Thanks so much! One question from playing around with this, is there a way to make it so the formula works even when filtering differently...like when I try and filter how to columns sort the formulas no longer correctly adds the days up right.
