I am trying to count the number of times the acronym DIL appears in a colume. The acronym is part of a longer discription in the cells. The cell entry would be similar to this with DIL being part of the string: "Northern-DIL-TX". I posted a similar questions yesterday, but now cannot find the post.
Try this.
Assuming it is in column A
=COUNTIF(A:A,"*DIL*")
