Find the total by day of hours worked based on two workbooks

    Hello,

I have two workbooks I am working with- One has the hours each employee worked by day but there might be more than one entry per day. The other workbook is where I need the total of hours worked by day for each employee. I cannot get this formula to work though.

    =SUM(INDEX('[Unit Log 2014.xlsx]Atkinson, K.'!$B$10:$B$73,MATCH(B$5,'[Unit Log 2014.xlsx]Atkinson, K.'!$A$10:$A$73,0))*0)

I also attached the workbooks for you to have a better idea of what I am talking about.

Thank you in advance for your help- this is the best forum I have ever used! You are always right on!

    Thank you- Jbeets

    Hi Jbeets,

Can you please check dates in both the files.
The dates in Unit Log are of year 2014 whereas the Billing Master sheet contains 2015.

    Regards,
