Wrong numbers on Y-axis in scatter diagram

    Hi!

I am not an expert in using Excel, and having been having some issues with some of my data. I am going to post a picture of my problems. I've put a red circle around the numbers I want on the Y-axis, and a red circle that shows the wrong numbers on the Y-axis. When I copy and paste the numbers I have calculated, they are all wrong. What I have done where it says "Korrigert absorpsjon" (yes, it's all in Norwegian) is this:

    =H6-$H$6

and then I dragged it down so the other cells would use the same formula. I've also tried without the dollar signs, but it still won't work. I'm pretty sure I followed the same procedure as the other people in my class, and they got i right. Does anyone know what I might've done wrong?

    Hope someone can help me

I cant see the picture you attached, but the formula you posted,
Please Login or Register to view this content.
will always show a value of 0 because you are subtracting H6 from the value of H6 which comes out to zero
    1N73LL1G3NC3 15 7H3 4B1L17Y 70 4D4P7 70 CH4NG3 - 573PH3N H4WK1NG
You don't have to add Rep if I have helped you out (but it would be nice), but please mark the thread as SOLVED if your issue is resolved.

It is hard to see what is going on based solely on a picture. My first impression based on the picture is that you are using a different number format code for the y axis of the scatter plot than is used in the spreadsheet. My first suggestion would be to check the number format and make sure they are the same. It looks to me like the scatter plot values are "scaled" by a factor of 1000, which is (in US styles anyway) acheived by putting a comma in your number format code (see the use of comma in number format codes here: https://support.office.com/en-US/Art...rs=en-US&ad=US ).
