Question Vlookup issue

Currently, I have multiple sheets where each sheet pulls in certain numbers from the web with a team assigned to it. Each sheets pulls values for NBA teams and ranks them highest to last. Certain sites have different orders so they are not always in the same row. My goal is to have a formula that goes to each sheet, finds team A and then pulls the rating from each sheet and averages them into 1 number.

I thought Vlookup was the solution for this but can't seem to get it to work. I have created this formula "=VLOOKUP("Chicago Bulls",NFrating,4,TRUE)" but all I get is #N/A . Is there a different way I should be doing this?

    Thanks!

If you use VLOOKUP, then you must sort the lookup table A - Z on Teams

    I changed your formula to:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

It seems to work fine. If the Adjusted rating is what you want change the 2 to a 3......FALSE makes VLOOKUP look for an exact match.

Edit: no change the 2 to a 4. I didn't note the empty column.

That was perfect Flame! Anyway to make it be able to pull those same values from multiple sheets?

    Re: Vlookup issue

Why have different sheets? Looks like you could combine some of those tables into 1, and just have different headings?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

    Re: Vlookup issue

I'm sure we can, but I'd like to see an example of what you have in mind. Can you upload another small representative sample file?
