Changing cell value based on drop down box choice

Hi,

What I am trying to do is change the value of a cell based on the value of a drop down box. For example, if an employee works a regular shift, night shift (+$1.00) or foreman shift (+$2.00) their rate would change. I have the positions in a drop down box and need their rate to change accordingly. I figured a vlookup table would help me find the additional rate to add to the employees regular rate but I can't seem to get the formula to work for multiple choices.
