automatic serializing

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to have excel automatically asign a serial number to a saved spreadsheet each time it is modified and saved again.

I have a custom request form that my customers fill out for special requests and I want to assign a number to them automatically.

I came up with this subroutine. It automatically saves over and increments.

Code goes in VB Editor, called with Alt+F11. Goto ThisWorkbook and paste the code there, and close that window.
