a formula that jumps the same amount of columns

    Hi

I need a formula that jumps the same amount of columns backwards.

I.e i want the data in a1 then a2 then a3 etc. The information i want in a1 is from n6, in a2 i want information from k6. And so on.

I thought the formula in a1 would look a little like this =offset (n6,column*-3,0). But i am clearly off.

    Thanks for any help

Put the values {14,11,8,5,2} in column A and plot a line chart. Add a linear trend line and select "show equation" ----> -3x+17
Replace the x with ROW(), then in A1: (copy down to A5)

However, those formulas will error for rows greater than #5
