divide one cell by the sum of that cell and another cell

I am trying to divide the value in cell k2 by the sum of k2 and l2. I know i can accomplish this by adding them in m2 then dividing k2 by m2 but i would rather do this in one step. Any ideas?

Then you have something non-numeric in either K2 and/or L2

Suggest that you post a sample workbook that exhibits the problem

The numbers in column A all have a trailing non-display character. Use =CODE(RIGHT(A1,1)) to determine what it is.

Either delete that character in each cell or use something like:

You could do a global replace using Alt + 0160
