conditional formatting between sheets

I have 2 sheets .. first one is a calendar with names of employees in each month that training is due. The 2nd sheet is the list of employees with their training due dates and if completed or not. I have it formatted on sheet 2, so that if either training is overdue that training and the employees names is filled red.


I thought if I did the =sheet2!b2 on the sheet1 with names that would highlight cell if it was highlighted on sheet 2 but that doesn't work. How do I get the cells to turn red on the names if the names on sheet 2 turn red? Hope that makes sense what I am asking. I am new to this and cant seem to get help on other forums :/

To highlight the name of Sheet1.
Copy the cell Sheet2!B2 and do a paste special formatting on sheet1!D15
By doing the condition which highlight the name on sheet2 will be apply to cell on sheet1
