Arrow Three Variable Match / Index (With different column headings)

    Hi there,

This is an extension of a previous thread where someone kindly help me do a 2 variable match formula. I now was wondering if a 3rd variable could be added?
In the attached sheet, it all works until you change the "Actual" drop down in N4, it then returns errors.

What I am trying to achieve is to have a ranking of all the variables for example rank by TAX, ACTUAL if the region is "BG".

If anyone knows what is wrong with my array formula in column M that would be a great help.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Try this in M5:

Is it needed to have two dropdown lists : N1 and N3, I think one in N1 is enough. And use this formula is enough:

Re: Three Variable Match / Index (With different column headings)

Thank you very much for your reply, I have reattached the updated version.

Please could you let me know if it is possible to have the second variable as an optional rank? E.g. how can I see the whole list ranked by sales actual?
At the moment I have to choose a region, but is there a way I can "Select All" or something similar?
    I hope I'm making sense!!

Try to add more variable, i.e "All" in your list of Region(cell B7 of sheet Data Validation), then use this array formula:

...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.
