Spell Check on Protected Document

I have a spreadsheet that I created in Excel 2007. I have certain cells protected. Only problem, when I protect the specific cells, the user cannot spell check. Is there any way around this?

Hi Karen,

Please check the attached file; the file is protected. The macro is assigned to rectangular box; as you click on it the SpellChecker option will be activated.

Excel does not spell check in protected sheet / workbook / formula. A Small macro code can help you to get your answer.

That's a great idea to add the macro. I noticed that the company I work for has the macros disabled by default.
I'll experiment and try to get it to work.
