Take specific text from Excel cell and copy it in a new one

Take specific text from Excel cell and copy it in a new one - ( text and/or words position varies)

    Hi,

I am trying to copy specific text from a cell and copy to a new cell.

The specific text position varies and some of the words also vary.

The specific text commences with the "Action Completed - ". However, the officers name and date vary. Examples of the specific text that I am trying to copy are:

Action Completed - FOR ACTION : Responsible Location: Depot - done by 'tbrown' on 3/1/2014 at 1:39 PM
Action Completed - FOR INFORMATION : Responsible Location: Depot - done by 'sgreen' on 8/1/2014 at 1:50 PM
Action Completed - GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE FOR INFORMATION ONLY : Responsible Location: Depot - done by 'dwhye' on 8/1/2014 at 1:50 PM

    Thank you for your help

OK, you have indicated where you want the "copy" to start from, where do you need it to end at?

If it is the whole string, cant you just reference it from where you need it to be?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

    Sorry,

The cells generally contain about 5000 characters, so I need to copy the text from Action Completed to after the date.

    I don't need the time.

That sounds like the entire contents of the cell?

What am I missing here, or do you have some cells in the range that dont start with that?

I suggest you upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
