Help with experiation dates on contracts

using the cell that has contract end date - BUT this cell must have a valid date in and not text

select the columns A2:D1000 (or however many rows you are likely to use)

Then in conditional format
set up three rules - using formulas

=$B2>= date(year(today()),month(today())-6,day(today()))
format as Red
=$B2>= date(year(today()),month(today())-9,day(today()))
Yellow
=$B2 <= date(year(today()),month(today())-10,day(today()))
Green

and put in that order in the formulas on conditional formatting
and stop if true

Rather than a word document - load up an excel spreadsheet
