Using th '=' sign to copy data between cells

I can currently type the = sign into a cell, then select 2nd cell with data in it, (in my case the 2nd cell has the Sum Function in it for a column of numbers), hit enter and the results in the 2nd cell appear in the first cell. If the second cell value changes, the first cell value reflects that change.

I am trying to find out how to copy an entire row of sums using that technique to a group of cells in another location in either that workbook, or another workbook.

    Anyone know how?

Select cells. Copy (Ctrl+C). Right click on first cell in the range where you want the duplicated data. Click on Paste Link (icon that resembles clipboard with chain at bottom).

Thanks. I see the "Paste Link" option but I am also transposing from 50 cells in a row to 50 cells in a column. When I select the transpose option the Paste Link option i not usable.

If this is a one off project, do as above somewhere in a blank area on the target sheet, then drag cells one by one to the desired location is my suggestion. Probably easier and less time consuming than developing a workaround.

I'm not sure if you just want the values one time from the other sheet or you want a link to those cells so when they change your copied values change.

If you want a formula that equals those cells on the other sheet and you want to transpose, then select the same number of cells that you have with data and type =Transpose(, then select all the cells with data on the other sheet, close the ) and hit Control + Shift + Enter and you are good to go.

I you want to copy the values only, then select all the cells with data control C to copy go to the blank cells select the first cell, right click choose the paste special option and check the transpose box, click ok and you should be good to go.
