Hello Excel Champions,
I am hoping an excel champion can help me with an Excel Worksheet Template
I have 1/2 built it but am stuck with the formulas.
The worksheet will be a project monitoring and status worksheet for developers and managers to get a snapshot of how a project is progressing.
It is basically 4 columns:
1st. Column is project criteria ( I know how to enter that information)
2nd. Column is criteria status via drop down menu ( I know how to do that via data validation lists)
3rd. Column is where I am stuck and NEED HELP. I would like the 3rd. Column to automatically populate when the user selects 1 of the four items in the Column 2 drop down list
I would like the cells aligned to the criteria row to turn Green when Completed is selected, Green when Not applicable is selected , Yellow when Started is selected and Red when not started is selected.
4th. Column I would then like the cell in that row and 4th. column to calculate a percentage number of the overall project completion
meaning: if the cell in the third row against a particular criteria say completed ( green) that would = 100%
if the cell in the third row against a particular criteria says not applicable (green) that would = 100%
if the cell in the third row say started ( Yellow) that would = 0%
if the cell in the third row says not started (Red) that would = 0%
ideally at the bottom of that column you would then have a snapshot percentage of project completion
