    Formula / Timestamp

    Good Evening,

    I'm trying to find a formula that will extract the Date in a DD/MM/YYYY format from a timestamp from an automated excel report that has the format DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM.

    Timestamp in cell D6 results to appear in I6.

    Any Help is greatly appreciated.

    This will switch it around, or you can format the cell to match what you need.

    All the formulae will work provided you have a valid (looking) date in cell D6. Note that the last formula will actually product a text string as output. This just "looks like a date". It will not have the underlying numeric value representing the date.

    You're better off just formatting the cell as you wish.
