    drop down list tool is not active in developer in my excel

    Please guide how to enable drop down list tool in excel developer.

    Excel developer toolbox has a combobox which has a dropdown list. This is what it looks like in Excel 2013 but is very close to 2007. See the red circle.

    If you mean a data validation with a list dropdown, that's not a Developer item. It's in the Data tab under Data Validation.
