Perpetual inventory using exce l

Hello,

I hope I am posting this question in the right forum.

I work for a small manufacturing company and we do not have an Inventory management system in place yet. I am collecting all the data and was seeing if I can do this in Excel for the time being.

My inventory contains different types of alloy material and for each alloy material there are 15 to 20 different sizes ( OD and Wall ). The production information for each material and size is
manually entered daily into sheet 1 (on daily bases). On sheet 2 I have what we have shipped against the inventory. And on sheet 3 I have our month end inventory which is by material and size.

I figure if I have starting inventory and I have my production numbers and sold numbers the balance is what I have in inventory. So my question is:
Is it possible to connect all three sheets so that if someone wanted to run a query on a certain material and size I will know what quantity I have in my inventory?

I know there are systems out there that can do this but I don't have the money yet to buy one so I since I am already collecting all the data I was wondering if this task can be done in Excel.

Thank you for your help!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Without seeing a sample of what you have/want, I think I would takle this a bit differently. Use 1 sheet for all data entry, having columns for description, date, stock in, stock out etc. Once you have that, you could set up a summary sheet to pull in all your data
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
