So I have a large database of real estate data for every quarter since 2000, and I've figured out the correct formula to find the MIN value (occupancy rate) IF that row meets multiple criteria. Now I need a formula to find that exact MIN value and the corresponding Date for that value (which happens to a set number of columns to the left of the Occupancy. Here's the formula I have been using:
Now, this formula works when I breakout a small section of the data. When I applied it to the data as a whole (50,000 rows), the inner "Min(IF())" formula is retrieving the MIN value I'm looking for but it seems the Index and Match are just grabbing the first instance of the Occupancy to compare and ignoring the IF criteria... and therefore spitting out a Date that does match up...Please Login or Register to view this content.
Can anyone explain another formula - maybe just a variation of OFFSET ?? - that will find the MIN value based on the IF statements and then the corresponding Date in another column?
Sorry for the poor wording, I'm having trouble articulating what needs to be done.
