Hi all,
How can I rank a list of dates so that any that if two dates are the same, it doesn't rank them both as say 1, but rather makes one 1 and one 2. i.e...
-----Column A-----Column B-----Column C
1----01-06-15---------1-------------1-----
2----03-06-15---------3-------------3-----
3----04-06-15---------4-------------5-----
4----02-06-15---------2-------------2-----
5----03-06-15---------3-------------4-----
6----05-06-15---------5-------------6-----
Column A obviously contains the dates in question
Column B is my current rank formula =Rank(A1,$A$1:$A$6)
Column C is how I would like the rank formula to work.
In the above example, A2 & A5 are both 03-06-15 meaning the rank formula gives them both '3' in Column B. In Column C though I would like for the first instance of 03-06-15 as '3' and the second instance as '4'.
Any help greatly appreciated.
