Hide a Excel Master sheet with password ( No body can,t open & View)

Dear Members,

I have all employees 3 years monthly sales reports, now by using vlookup function a prepare individual employees 3 years sales details. Now if I just enter a
employee code i got all years details of that particular employee. Now a days these report is using all of our department. so i need to hide this master sheet with password or not. (The veryHidden method is already applied, it is very easy to unhide everyone.)

As per your reply, i tried to protect the structure, if i protect the structure & the vlookup up function is not working.
Any other method in VBA..? pls advice me...

Formulas on a visible sheet referencing a hidden sheet should work... no different than when workbook structure is not protected... so I can't tell what the problem is from here. The only thing Protect Workbook, Structure does in this regard is prevents (to the degree noted by Ford) hidden sheet(s) from being unhidden and accessed directly.

Can you create a test file which exhibits the same problem. If you can, post it (and of course you will have to provide the passcode for us non-hackers).
