Which isolates the part number, how can I get "the rest of the cell without this part number" now?

    Kind regards

    Re: Splitting up a cell

From the above example "AWSGM2.5 - Wrench, Metric, Hex, Combination Tand L-Shape, Soft Grip, Blue Handle, 2.5mm" is initially all in one cell. i need to split it into two cells. The formula I have there will give me the part number

    AWSGM2.5

how do I get the rest into one cell
    - Wrench, Metric, Hex, Combination Tand L-Shape, Soft Grip, Blue Handle, 2.5mm ( I want this in one cell not 13 cells)

Sorry, i hadn't seen your edited example. Paste this into D2 and drag across 1 column. It will work perfectly when the separator is a -. If this is not always the case, please post a representative group of examples...

    =TRIM(MID(SUBSTITUTE("-"&$C2,"-",REPT(" ",125)),125*COLUMNS($A:A),125))

    Re: Splitting up a cell

With the original value in A1
    and the Awesome2.5 in B1

    In C1
    =REPLACE(A1, 1,LEN(B2)+1, "")
