Need Percentage of Total

On the attached spreadsheet, I am asked for a % of letter group that attended each month (each letter represents a unique department). I feel like this is easier than I am making it out to be, but can anyone assist? Must have been an extra rough weekend.

Where do you want the results displayed? in a similar table next to the data? Someplace else?

Well, now I am being told it's separate...I'm thinking I could use an AVERAGEIFS type formula for this, but unsure how. I have 2 tabs, one with total participants, the 2nd with total headcount and need percent of participants. New example sheet attached.

So for example, Group A had 12 participants (tab 1) for February out of 31 total members (tab 2 total headcount for Group A). They had 38.71% show up.

First...Edit the Sheet2 month names to match the Sheet1 month names

Then...build this table in G1:K6 on Sheet1

Then enter this formula in H2 and copy across and down through K5

That can work, but could be difficult to explain if I am out. Is there no way to pivot and get the average? If not, I'll go with what you have above

You'd have a better chance if your axes contained the same kind of data. Right now, one range has months across the top and groups on the left and the other has groups across the top and months on the left.
