Hi,
I've been given a large set of data and I need to identify which invoices have been cancelled. Attached is an example of the data i'm working with and what i'm looking to achieve. If you have any queries just give me a shout.

Can't you just apply a filter to column A - deselect CAN to see the other documents.
Or a filter on column C - click on the Text Filter, then Begins with...

Hi gmr4evr1, I need to identify which invoices (doc code 'INV' - rows 9 to 31) the cancellation docs (doc code 'CAN' - rows 2 to 8) relate to.
OK, I kind of get what you are wanting. 2 questions:
1) Is the example sheet what you have, or what you want?
2) What do you want returned to the cells in column E?
I misunderstood what you wanted. Put this formula in E2:
=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH("Cancel - INV "&B2,C:C,0)),"Cancelled","")
then copy down to the bottom of your list.
