Change the color of Cells based on the value of another Cell

So what i want i think is pretty straight forward.

So what i want to do is if the word "cowell" is in Column H then Column I, K, automatically turn orange. I'm sure this can be achieved but im getting stuck. Can anyone help?!?

I'm assuming you want to change just the corresponding cells on the same row to turn orange, not the whole column

select the first cells in columns I and K where you want to apply conditional formatting, then select

home > conditional formatting > manage rules > new rule > use a formula ...


then type this in the formula

=$H1="cowell"

(adjust the row number to the row you are checking)

you can copy this to other cells where you want the conditional format to apply
