    Applying Same Formula To Cells With Different Values

    Can anyone help me apply the same formula to calculate multiple values in separate cells? Ideally on a new sheet. So A1 on sheet 1 would correspond to A1 on sheet 2 but with the formula applied. I'm trying to un-log (=2^CELL ID) hundreds of cells and every one is a different value, everything I've tried such as using $ etc isn't working and is simply replicating the the value of A1 in every single cell.

    I may be misreading this as it seems too simplistic.

    Put the formula in A1 on sheet2 (eg if youre formula is to add 10 to the number in sheet 1, then enter

    Not sure exactly what you are trying. Lets say your data is in sheet1
    A1 = 2, A2 =5, A3 = 7, etc.

    On Sheet2, you want to apply this formula copied down

    =2^Sheet1!A1
    That would become (as you pulled it down)
    =2^Sheet1!A2
    =2^Sheet1!A3
    etc.
    If this is not what you are looking for, can you post a small workbook showing what you have and what you are looking for? (Go Advanced>Manage Attachments)

    Thank you both, that's what I thought and have been trying, I thought I'd lost my mind because it really is that simple! I think one of my macros is stopping this from working. I'm going to copy and paste my values into a new workbook and try to figure out
    why the macro is stopping any new formulas being applied.

    What is happening when you apply that formula in Sheet2? Do you just see it as a formula? or it is directly taking A1 from sheet1 (for example)?
