Hello internet forum,

Glad you took the time to read here, hopefully you might have a better idea how to solve this, than me.

I am trying to calculate how many km a vehicle needs to travel before the difference in fuel mileage cost equals the benefit of purchasing a more expensive model.
Example: Car A costs 1.000 and costs 1.5 per km. Car B costs 1.200 and costs 1.2 per km. How many km does the car travel before the cost benefit of 200 has been achieved. The result would then be after 667km.
Any idea how to structure this in to excel?

With cost of car in A1 and B1
and mileage in A2 and B2

=(B1-A1)/(A2-B2)

Why yes it is. That solves the issue quite well indeed. I was overcomplicating the solution .
