Question How Can I: Calculate Gasoline Metrics?

OMG I am so brain dead right now. I cannot come up with formulas for how to get to goal here.

    KNOWN:
    Liters per tank: 65 (fixed)
    Kilometers per tank: 450 (variable)
    Gas Cost: $1.159/L (variable)

    GOALS:
I want to enter the variables for the cost and kms per tank, then output:
    Distance per KM
    Cost per KM
    Distance per L

I realize that everyone here is going to be mocking me for this ridiculous question. I just can't think the correct thoughts. My brain is paralyzed right now.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

    Distance per KM
Did you mean litres per km?

With those values in range b1:b3, use these

    Distance per L
    =B2/B1

    Cost per KM
    =B3*B1/B2

Don't know what distance per KM is?

    Litres per KM
    =B1/B2
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Re: How Can I: Calculate Gasoline Metrics?

Liters per KM = Liters per tank / Kilometers per tank = 0.144444444
Cost per KM = Liters per KM * Gas Cost = 0.167411111
Distance per L = Kilometers per tank / Liters per tank = 6.923076923

Oh, and Distance per KM = Kilometers per tank / Kilometers per tank = 1

    Thanks for this, that's great.

As for fuel economy (liters per 100kms)... Can you confirm the formula here please? I am not getting values that I believe, which is because I am a mathematics idiot.

Re: How Can I: Calculate Gasoline Metrics?

You already have L per KM, so just multiply by 100, ie. 14.44 L/100KM, and $16.70/100KM

If I'm moving at 1 cm/minute, how many furlongs per fortnight am I traveling? (rounded to 2 decimals)
