Formula that can lookup multiple criteria and return a specific value...
I have tried index match, vlookup, etc and nothing works...
I am trying to lookup the position number relative to a subledger and return the budgeted amount as the value.
Please refer to attached.
In the attachment I am trying to locate the Position Nbr in sheet FTE by SL in the sheet FSR and return the value in Budget Amt for each Combo Code relative to the Columns on Sheet 1.
I'm assuming you're trying to get the values in the "Funding Source Report" tab into the format that you have in the "Sheet1" tab. If that's the case, you're better off creating a pivot table than copying a formula multiple times.
- Highlight all the data in "Funding Source Report" and Insert Pivot table. Default is to create the table in a new tab.
- Drag "Position NBR" into the Row Labels box
- Drag "Combo Code" into the Column Labels box
- Drag "Budget Amt" into the Values box
Don't just use the answers provided for you. Try to understand how it works by reverse engineering or asking about it.
